Summary:

As a member of the Production Team, the Production Team Lead is a vital role in all aspects of post-harvest activities, including primary and secondary packaging to ensure product is ready for distribution. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role requires the applicant to be detail oriented and a self-starter that can work with a diverse team of professionals and lead them to success.

This position is based out of Kingsville, Ontario.

Job Duties:

- Ensure employees process cannabis into required packaging.
- Ensure accurate completion of all required documents and sanitization procedures.
- Ensure employees operate packaging equipment and execute packaging orders in line with company and industry standards and regulations; complete required documentation (e.g., packaging worksheets)
- Ensure employees complete post-harvest activities including drying, bucking, trimming, curing, packaging, and inventory management.
- Communicate effectively with other departments.
- Ensure written instructions are followed to ensure products are assembled and packed in accordance with customer specifications.
- Ensure customer orders are completed as directed ensuring the use of correct label, date code and any other customer requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation throughout all operations.




- Ensure accuracy in data entry of weights using scanner guns and written completion of production records.
- Ensure final product labeling and inventory reconciliation
- Ability to complete accurate data entry and documentation.
- Other duties as required.
- Afternoon Shift

Requirements:

- High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field preferred.
- 3 years' experience as a Team Lead.
- 2 Years’ experience working in the cannabis industry and/or agricultural industry will be considered an asset.
- Ability to operate various types of equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to create logically ordered objectives.
- Ability to stay informed and up to date with changes in technology, code and workplace compliance.
- Certified with WHMIS.
- Excellent manual dexterity.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage employees.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
- Excellent basic mathematical skills.
- Production experience, preferably greenhouse related.
- Ability to motivate and attain positive results from employees and teams is a must.
- Proven leadership, decision-making, problem solving, and performance management skills are required.
