The Wellness Exchange is looking for an exceptionally organized, detail-oriented and dependable Inventory & Purchasing Coordinator to join our team.

This is a key operational role within our business. You’ll be responsible for managing the flow of inventory from ordering through receiving, maintaining healthy stock levels, coordinating purchasing across our suppliers, and ensuring our inventory systems remain accurate and organized.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely loves organization, notices the small things, takes ownership of their work and is comfortable managing a lot of moving pieces.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Purchasing & Ordering

- Managing regular product ordering across our suppliers
- Monitoring inventory levels and anticipating stock needs
- Managing supplier deadlines, seasonal pre-books and advance purchasing
- Researching and recommending new products based on customer demand, trends and opportunities
- Communicating with suppliers and sales representatives

Inventory Management

- Receiving and verifying incoming inventory
- Maintaining accurate inventory records
- Completing monthly expiry checks
- Managing markdowns and expired products
- Monitoring inventory loss and identifying opportunities to reduce it
- Ensuring proper stock rotation
- Identifying slow-selling, discontinued or obsolete products and flagging them for review
- Making inventory adjustments related to promotions, sales and operational needs

Organization & Store Support

- Maintaining an exceptionally organized stockroom and off-site storage area
- Managing and rotating overstock
- Transporting inventory between the store and off-site storage as required
- Creating and maintaining shelf labels and product information
- Supporting the store team with inventory-related needs

Previous experience in inventory management, purchasing, ordering, receiving, retail operations, administration or a similar role is strongly preferred. We are also open to candidates with highly transferable experience who can demonstrate exceptional organization, accuracy and the ability to independently manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.

Schedule & Compensation

This is a full-time position, generally scheduled between 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Compensation: Starting at $20/hour, with higher compensation available based on relevant experience and qualifications.

This position involves receiving and moving inventory and requires the ability to safely lift and move boxes. A valid driver’s licence and reliable access to transportation are required for occasional travel between the store and off-site storage.
