By Design Living is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Residential Cleaning Technician to join our team in a long-term, full-time position.

We believe there is a difference between simply cleaning a home and providing an exceptional cleaning service.

What the Position Looks Like

This is a Monday–Friday employee position. Most days begin at 9:00 a.m. and typically consist of approximately 6–8 hours of work, depending on the day's client schedule.

You'll travel to residential clients throughout Sherwood Park, Ardrossan, Edmonton and surrounding areas. Some days you'll work independently, while others you'll work alongside another member of our team.

Compensation

- $18.00/hour
- $0.73/km for eligible work-related mileage
- 100% of client tips
- Vacation pay
- Statutory holiday pay
- No regularly scheduled evenings or weekends

dust along an edge, or a spot that could use a little more attention simply because the basic checklist has been completed.

At the same time, professional cleaning is about learning how to balance quality with efficiency. We'll teach you our cleaning methods, expectations and standards so that you can provide excellent results within the time scheduled for each home.

You don't need to know everything on your first day. We can teach cleaning techniques — what we're really looking for is someone who cares about doing a good job.

Previous skilled cleaning experience is an asset, but it isn't everything. Reliability, attitude, attention to detail and willingness to learn matter just as much to us.

What You'll Be Doing

Your days will include a variety of residential cleaning tasks, including:





- Kitchens and bathrooms
- Dusting and detailed surface cleaning
- Vacuuming and mopping
- Showers, tubs, sinks, mirrors and fixtures
- Baseboards, doors, trim and other detail work
- Routine maintenance cleaning
- Deep cleaning
- Occasional move-in/move-out cleaning
- Following client-specific instructions
- Maintaining By Design Living's cleaning and quality standards

What You'll Need

- A valid driver's licence
- A reliable vehicle to travel between client locations
- Availability Monday through Friday
- A reliable cell phone for work communication
- The ability to perform a physically active job, including standing, bending, reaching, kneeling and carrying cleaning supplies and equipment
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada
