Lead Hand / Foreman Carpenter – Concrete & Heavy Infrastructure (Edmonton)

Tech Construction Group is hiring experienced Lead Hands and Foremen Carpenters to lead crews on concrete and heavy infrastructure projects across the Edmonton region. If you've run crews on commercial, industrial, or major infrastructure work — and you take pride in building safe, productive, high-quality job sites — we want to hear from you.

This is a hands-on field leadership role. You'll lead by example, work shoulder-to-shoulder with your crew, and partner closely with the Superintendent to keep projects moving.

What you'll do

- Lead crews of 6–10 carpenters in day-to-day site execution
- Coordinate labour, materials, tools, and equipment to keep work flowing
- Read drawings, plan the work, and communicate clearly with your crew
- Enforce safety, quality, and OH&S; standards on every task
- Run toolbox talks, complete daily paperwork, and report site issues to the Superintendent




- Train and mentor crew members, including apprentices
- Interact professionally with PMs, clients, and other trades on site

What you bring

- Journeyperson Carpenter certification or equivalent field experience
- 5+ years in commercial, industrial, or infrastructure construction
- 2+ years leading crews as a Lead Hand or Foreman
- Strong working knowledge of loose formwork and systems such as Peri, Aluma, Doka, and Efco
- Confident blueprint reading and site layout
- Valid Class 5 licence with clean abstract
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Basic Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Resident of the Greater Edmonton Region

Considered assets

- Experience on LRT, transit, or major infrastructure projects
- CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, LSE

Working conditions

Full time, year-round. Monday to Saturday schedule may be required. Work involves physical labour, heights, power tools, and outdoor conditions in all weather.
