Volo Academy of Music is an academy that offers both online and in-person lessons. We're looking to add to our team of teachers someone who will teach in-person lessons at our Spruce Grove location. The ideal candidate is certified in their instrument in RCM Level 10 (or university equivalent) or a professional level of performance / teaching.
The successful candidate will be teaching mostly beginner students, but bonus if they can teach advanced students as well.
Experience teaching is preferred. Our teachers are chosen for their qualifications, personality, ability to connect with people, and experience.
Responsibilities:
- As a teacher, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting private in-person private lessons for students ranging from beginner to advanced levels.
- Creating detailed weekly lesson notes to guide students in their practice.
- Participating in online recitals 4 times a year c (2 in-person and 2 online)
- Assist students in preparing for recitals, exams, and festivals.

- Possesses creativity,
imagination, and flexibility to inspire a passion for music.
- Can effectively connect with teens and adults.
- Demonstrates reliability and adherence to a set weekly schedule.
- Owns a reliable device (preferably a laptop) with a stable internet connection for video calls via Zoom/Skype, including the ability to share screens, for occasional online makeup lessons.
- Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills with a winsome personality.
