Duties
- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications.
- Ensure all meat products are packaged properly for display and sale.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the butcher area and kitchen.
- Adhere to all food safety and handling regulations to ensure product quality.
- Assist customers with their meat selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations.
- Monitor inventory levels of meat products and communicate needs to management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure productive operations within the kitchen.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Butcher or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of meat cutting techniques and food preparation methods.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A background in kitchen operations or culinary arts is advantageous but not required.
