Health & Safety Coordinator

Role Overview

Our client, a well-established food manufacturing business, is seeking a proactive Health & Safety Coordinator to support and strengthen safety performance across its manufacturing and warehousing operations. Reporting to the HR Director, you will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing workplace risk, delivering training, and promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on health and safety qualified who enjoys working closely with operational teams and driving continuous improvement.Key Accountabilities

- Ensure compliance with all health & safety legislation, regulations, and company prevention programs.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve health & safety policies, procedures, and site initiatives.
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, carrying out root cause analysis and preventative measures.
- Deliver health & safety inductions and coordinate ongoing employee training and awareness programs.
- Support emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills, evacuation procedures, and first aid programs.
- Monitor contractor compliance with site safety requirements and support regulatory inspections when required.
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, statistics, and compliance documentation.




- Participate in health & safety committee meetings and follow up on agreed actions.
- Act as the primary health & safety resource for employees, supervisors, and management teams.

People Profile

- Degree qualified in Health & Safety, Environmental Studies, Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
- Ideally hold a recognised health & safety qualification such as CRSP, CSP, OSHA, or equivalent.
- 3-5 years' experience within food manufacturing, manufacturing, FMCG, warehousing, or a similar industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience developing and delivering health & safety training programmes.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive a proactive safety culture.
- Comfortable using digital systems for compliance management, reporting, and incident tracking.
- Fluent in both French and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach.

Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
