Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized service area. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in food handling, cashiering, and customer service.

Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders at the counter
- Prepare and assemble food items according to company standards and safety guidelines
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Manage cash register transactions accurately and efficiently
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, including food prep stations and equipment
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards




- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Restock supplies as needed to keep the service area well-organized and stocked during shifts
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks as required

Skills

- Experience in food preparation, cashiering, or food service preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Robust customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Kitchen or restaurant experience is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance sales opportunities

Pay: $15.00-$17.73 per hour
