Food Production Worker (Part-Time)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (Specific working days per week are negotiable)

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Food Production Worker to join our team in Scarborough.

While initial training is fully provided, candidates are expected to adapt quickly to a rapid-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Machine Operation: Safely operate, monitor, and perform basic maintenance on food production machinery (e.g., automatic dumpling and shumai making machines).
- Handmade Food Prep: Handcraft traditional food products, including dumplings, Har Gow, and other Asian and international appetizers.
- Packaging: Efficiently pack and repack finished food items into designated boxes and trays.
- Material Handling: Lift and move raw ingredients (e.g., lifting up to 20kg of meat to load into the food blender).
- Ad-Hoc Support: Remain flexible to assist with other daily production and cleaning tasks as requested by supervisors.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

- Shift Details: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break and two 15-minute paid breaks (continuous standing is limited to roughly 2 hours between breaks).
- Cool Environment:



The facility is kept at a cool temperature of approximately 8- 13°C.
- Safety First: Floors can be slippery; you must provide and wear your own certified safety shoes.
- Food Handling: Daily handling of raw meat products, primarily pork and beef.
- Overtime: Flexibility to stay slightly later is preferred if required by daily production needs.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Legal Status: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada on payroll (Not a cash job).
- Experience: 1 year of experience as a production worker or factory operator (Preferred).
- Education: DCS / DEC (Preferred).
- License/Commute: A valid Class G2 or G Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle is highly preferred to ensure reliable daily commuting.

Location: Must be able to reliably commute to Scarborough, ON M1S 3P8 for work.

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
