Overview
Join our dynamic team as an ABA Instructor Therapist and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. In this energetic role, you will implement evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to promote positive behavioral and social outcomes. Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized ABA therapy sessions tailored to each client’s needs, utilizing data collection and behavior management strategies to track progress effectively.
- Implement behavior intervention plans designed by licensed clinicians, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices.
- Collect and analyze behavioral data during sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Support clients with daily activities, including social skills development, communication enhancement, and adaptive behaviors.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, treatment records, and intake forms, while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with crisis intervention and crisis management when challenging behaviors arise,
ensuring safety for clients and staff alike.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, medical professionals, and educators—to coordinate care plans and optimize therapeutic outcomes.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children or individuals with disabilities in educational or clinical settings.
- Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and data collection methods.
- Ability to perform crisis intervention and manage challenging behaviors effectively.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, medication administration protocols, and medical records documentation.
- Excellent communication skills for working with clients, families, and team members; compassionate approach to patient care.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards to protect client confidentiality.
- Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, PTSD care needs, or addiction counseling is a plus.
