Warehouse Associate – Receiver

Door Hardware Supply (DHS) is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Associate – Receiver to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, organizing, and processing incoming shipments while ensuring inventory accuracy and maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Report any damaged, missing, or incorrect items to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Accurately enter received goods into the inventory management system.
- Label, organize, and store products in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment as required.
- Load and unload trucks safely using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment (training/certification required where applicable).
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Follow company policies and all health and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, purchasing, customer service, and sales teams to ensure efficient operations.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or receiving experience is preferred.




- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems.
- Forklift experience or certification is an asset.
- A valid G driver's licence is an asset.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Hours: 42.5 hours per week (8.5-hour shifts)

Work Location: Ottawa, ON
