Term: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Reports to: Integrated Marketing Manager

Location: Langley, BC
Salary range: $48,000- $52,000 per annum

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a full-time Social Media Coordinator whowill help to expand Focus on the Family Canada's digital reach, engagement, and ministry impact by delivering compelling social media experiences that connect audiences with biblical resources, ministry initiatives, and organizational priorities.

In this role, you willtransform existing content - including articles, videos, podcasts, e-books, campaigns, and ministry resources, into engaging social media experiences tailored to each platform. You will also collaborate with ministry leaders and subject matter experts to identify and capture stories, testimonials, and meaningful ministry moments that can be transformed into engaging social media content.

What’s the job?

The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for supporting the success of key departmental priorities through the following areas:

Social Media Strategy &Audience; Growth

- Grow Focus on the Family Canada’s digital presence and influence by implementing social media strategies that support organizational priorities, ministry objectives, campaigns, fundraising initiatives,



and audience engagement goals.

Success looks like:

- Growth in followers, subscribers, and online community size.

- Increased reach, impressions, and audience engagement.

- Consistent execution of social media content calendars and campaign priorities.

- New opportunities for social growth and audience development areidentifiedand implemented.

- Social channels contribute to ministry awareness and organizationalobjectives.

Content Development & Publishing

- Ensure Focus on the Family Canada's ministry content is transformed into engaging, relevant, and platform-optimized social media experiences that strengthen brand awareness, audience engagement, and ministry impact.

- Develop relationships with ministry leaders and internal subject matter experts toidentifyand capture stories, insights, interviews, testimonials, and ministry moments that can be transformed into engaging social media content.

- Produce and coordinate short-form video content (e.g., Reels, Shorts) in collaboration with Creative Services and Media Production to maximize audience engagement across social platforms.

- Content calendars are executed consistently and on schedule.

- Social content reflects Focus on the Family Canada's voice, brand, and ministry values.

- Increased awareness andutilizationof Focus on the Family Canada resources and ministries.

- Campaigns, events, resources, and ministry initiatives receivetimelyand effective social media support.

CommunityEngagement and Management

- Foster healthy, engaged, and mission-aligned online communities that encourage meaningful interaction while protecting and enhancing Focus on the Family Canada's reputation.

- Audience inquiries and interactions receivetimelyresponses.

- Online engagementremainsrespectful and aligned with established guidelines.

- Engagement levels increase across key social platforms.

- Escalation procedures are followed appropriately when sensitive issues arise.





- Positive online community engagement and audience experience.

Analytics, Insights and Continuous Improvement

- Use social media data and audience insights to improve content effectiveness,optimizecampaigns, and support informed marketing decisions.

- Preparationof monthly reports and campaign summaries for the Marketing Manager.

Success looks like:

- Regular reportingprovidesactionableinsightstoleadership.

- Content decisions are informed by performance metrics and audience behavior.

- Engagement, conversion, and traffic performance improve over time.

- Emerging trends and opportunities areidentifiedand evaluated.

- Recommendations result in measurableanalytics andperformance improvements.

About You:

-
A deep commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Focus on the Family Canada and a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- 2+years of experience managing social media for a brand, organization, or agencywith strong understanding of content marketing, digital marketing, audience engagement, SEO and social media optimization best practices.

- Excellentwriting and storytelling skills,with a strong grasp of grammar and punctuation.

- Strong understanding of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Pinterest, and evolving social platforms, along with experience using social media scheduling and analytics tools.

- Experience adapting long-form content into short-form, highly engaging social media content such as Reels, Shorts, and TikToks.

- Familiarity with Canva andbasic understanding of photography, video editing, and graphic design principles; Experience working with HubSpot or other marketing automation platforms is an asset.

- Experience working in a non-profit or ministry environment is an asset.

- Detail-oriented, with the ability to follow established processes, and deliver accurate, high-quality work on time in a fast-moving, rapidly changing setting.

- Strong communicator with the ability to warmly relate and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
