Reporting to the store manager, the softgoods lead manages the softgoods team and inventory to create an excellent retail experience for our customers. The softgoods lead is responsible for maintaining inventory levels on the sales floor, meeting sales goals, exceeding customer service expectations, and creating an appealing shopping experience for customers.

What you will do in this role:

- Continuously updating and refreshing store displays
- Organizing and maintaining product in warehouse and on sales floor; creating an easy and charming environment for customers.
- Assist in the planning and organizing of day to day operations of the store, in order to maximize sales and productivity
- Constantly updating product knowledge in order to become an expert on all softgoods products as well as other products in the store
- Educate customers on apparel trends in the ski and bike industries and help them choose the right product for their adventures
- Serve as a role model for all customer service standards
- Communicate with buyers on a regular basis regarding product availability, sale promotions, hot/cold sellers, and inventory levels
- Utilize the Point of Sale cash system, processes payments, refunds and exchanges and issues gift cards
- Perform/complete other additional project, duties, and assignments as required and/or by request,



under the direction of the Store Manager
- Passionately lead and educate on the retail floor

Requirements for this role:

- Proven sales experience (1-2 years minimum)
- Completion of some post-secondary education will be considered an asset
- Key-holder experience considered an asset
- Passion, knowledge and involvement in athletic pursuits (skiing, biking, or anything active)
- Robust sense of personal style and athletically minded; passion for athletic fashion and trends
- Ability to establish strong interpersonal relationships and develop a rapport with customers
- Positive, passionate, and self-starting attitude and work ethic
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage projects and delegate tasks
- Working knowledge of Word and Excel
