Soluna Toronto are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our vibrant hospitality team! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive. Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly, positive attitude as they arrive and depart, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using SevenRooms or OpenTable
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information and taking reservations as needed
- Maintain an organized waiting list and communicate wait times clearly to guests
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and order in the host stand and waiting area
- Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and communicate reservation details clearly
- Handle guest concerns with empathy and professionalism, notifying a manager when necessary
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Host/Receptionist in a high-volume or fine dining restaurant (required).
- Proficiency with SevenRooms/OpenTable.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking skills.
- Positive, qualified attitude with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to stay calm and organized during peak hours.
- Punctuality and reliability with scheduled shifts.
- Impeccable presentation and professional demeanor.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
