Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Reach Truck Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating reach trucks and other material handling equipment to move, locate, and organize inventory within the warehouse. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse operations, accurate order fulfillment, and safe handling of goods. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety and efficiency.

Duties

Operate reach trucks and other specialized equipment such as clamp trucks and forklifts to retrieve, transport, and store inventory items safely and accurately.
Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and report any maintenance needs promptly.
Assist with order picking processes by accurately selecting products based on order specifications using warehouse management systems.
Handle heavy lifting tasks with proper technique to prevent injury and maintain safety standards.
Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic repairs when necessary.
Maintain accurate records of inventory movements within the warehouse management system for tracking and reporting purposes.
Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock in designated areas, ensuring efficient space utilization,



and adhering to safety protocols.

Skills

Proven experience operating reach trucks, clamp trucks, forklifts, and order pickers in a warehouse environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on equipment.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing.
Good understanding of warehouse distribution processes including storage, retrieval, and order picking.
Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately.
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently while maintaining safety standards.
Knowledge of safety procedures related to forklift operation and warehouse handling practices to ensure a secure working environment.
