Automotive Parts Counter Sales Associate (Part-Time)

About the Role

We’re looking for a reliable, motivated, and customer-focused individual to join our growing automotive parts business.

This is primarily a counter sales and customer service position. You’ll be responsible for assisting walk-in customers, answering phones, processing orders, following up with existing customers and charge accounts, making outbound sales and cold calls, and helping grow the business by building solid relationships with mechanic shops and commercial customers.

We’re looking for someone who’s confident on the phone, enjoys building customer relationships, isn’t afraid to generate new business, and wants to grow with a small business. As the company grows, there will be opportunities for increased responsibility, annual performance-based raises, and the potential to transition into a full-time position.

Responsibilities

- Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with parts inquiries.
- Process customer orders accurately.
- Provide professional walk-in customer service.
- Follow up with existing customers and charge accounts.
- Make outbound sales and cold calls to generate new business.




- Build and maintain relationships with mechanic shops and commercial customers.
- Occasionally visit local mechanic shops and dealerships to introduce our products and services.
- Learn automotive parts, inventory, and our internal systems.
- Open and close the store independently when required.
- Assist with occasional local deliveries when needed.

Requirements

- Automotive parts experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong phone, sales, and customer service skills.
- Comfortable making outbound sales calls and customer follow-ups.
- Comfortable learning new computer systems.
- Valid Ontario G driver’s licence.
- Own reliable vehicle.
- Reliable, organized, and able to multitask.
- Available to work Saturdays when scheduled.
- Looking for a long-term opportunity with room to grow.
