In business since 1980, McEwen’s is a petroleum and crop input dealer serving primarily the agricultural business in the Alberta Capital Region and is seeking an individual to fill the following position:
Site Manager, Athabasca, AB
Primarily on-site operations.
Reporting to the local Regional Manager, you will:
- Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Be involved in the total sales cycle with our local customer base.
- Ensure orders are correct and customer needs are met.
- Perform warehouse work including driving forklift and operating fertilizer plant.
- Perform some fleet maintenance.
- Operate light and heavy trucks.
- Pick up and deliver product to customers as needed.
- Pick up and deliver products between company branches as needed.
- Assist with Fertilizer Field Applications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work additional hours to meet business demands.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Mechanical skills an asset as we are expanding to include a Flaman Rentals at this location
Training provided:
- Operation of application equipment
- Forklift and other required training
- Driver Training for certain license classes
Basic Qualifications:
(required)
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift/carry up to 35kgs
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to work additional hours to meet business demands
- Minimum Class 5 drivers license to start
Preferred Qualifications: (desired)
- Ideally possess Class 3 drivers license (Or work towards getting it)
- Farming background
- Sales experience highly recommended
- Ability to supervise and schedule a team
Wage Range: $75000 - $100000 conpensation package commensurate with experience and training. Significant overtime in spring seeding season and some for our fall fertilizer season.
