2nd Cook – Part-time

We are looking for a Part-time 2nd Cook with versatile availability. Part-Time hours are approximately 20-24 hours per week. Additional shifts may be assigned during busy times and for vacation relief.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Prepare food for Members and Guests and ensure that portion control, temperature, and food presentation meet the Arbutus Club standards
- Participate in menu planning, food taste-testing meetings, and contributes ideas and suggests for food and service
- Control food and supply inventory, including completing physical inventory as required,



dating and rotating stock; follows first in, first out procedures
- Perform tasks according to safe work practices and safe job procedures

Requirements & Qualifications

- Must be able to stand for long periods of time in an open-style kitchen, withstand heat, and deal with the pressures of preparing food in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Certification in a basic level of cooking, or previous cooking experience in a high-volume, fast-paced, bistro style environment is required.
- Front-line customer service experience considered an asset.
- Must have a valid Food Handler/Food Safe Certification
