Spend your days helping guests improve their on-snow skills and confidence. Our Snow School Instructors are responsible for the delivery of the on-snow instructional product. Wages are industry competitive as are duties and lesson assignments, schedules vary based on demand. This role will allow you to work when the resort is busy and the freedom to ski/ride other resorts during our slow time. Our small team can provide you with opportunities you might not have in larger snow schools. Join our team for a season of incredible terrain and snow. Responsibilities
- Intern program instruction as directed by Management (Ski only)
- Deliver Staff Training as directed by Management
- Leading instructor training
- Checking in/out with supervisors
- Understanding and delivering the snow school on-snow product
- Assisting in operational support of resort operations as required
- Continually Improving own technical skills to better serve guests
- Arriving in a timely manner for your daily lesson, ready to teach
- Conducting safe, fun and technical lessons to all ages and abilities
- Managing splits in ability levels and a variety of group dynamics
- Be polite, patient, understanding, empathetic and have a positive attitude
- Helping to create amazing guest experiences
- Passion for the ski industry and culture
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- MUST Hold the following minimum certifications: PSIC/CSIA/CASI Level 3 (or international equivalent)
- Course Conductor,
Trainer Certificate or Licensed Profession Trainer LPT level 1 considered an asset
- CAA AST-1 is considered an asset
- Additional certifications such as Big Mountain, Park or Freestyle are considered an asset
- Passion for the ski industry and culture
- A sense of teamwork and community
- Experience leading instructor training an asset
Work Experience
- 2+ years of experience teaching in an alpine environment similar to Castle Mountain an asset
Where We Are
Castle Mountain Resort is located at the end of Highway 774, near Pincher Creek, AB. This is a work from home location.
