- The Database Administrator maintain the ERP (e.g. SAP S4/HANA) database to support the Demand Planning and Inventory activities.
- Provides functional and technical support to ensure performance, operation, and stability of database system.
Primary Point of Contact and support for part setups / accuracy / knowledge of the system database with global interface.
Specific Accountabilities:
- Develops and maintains Demand Planning and Inventory Dashboards and Reports.
- Develops and maintains programs to improve Demand Planning and Inventory efficiency and communication between departments.
- Develops and maintains KPI reports for Demand Planning and Inventory group.
- Updates the tasks status on the Database Tracker and ensure on-time completion of all open tasks.
- Follows up with Engineering to collect incomplete technical information; and with Purchasing for quote clarity if/when questions arise on part requests and/or BOM information.
- Assists in the review Engineering BOMs to identify and populate the ERP Part Number information on Engineering BOMs- per most current SA procedures.
- Trouble shoot database issues presented from global team members for systemic resolution (Inventory, Purchasing, Engineering) as required:
- Correct Units of Measures / Conversions
- Research/Request coordination of duplicate cleanups for part number accuracy
- Work on global Part Number mapping and Item Description consistency
- Assist w/ID of parts from Material Team members when system parts not known
- Correct vendor item details
- Correct INV and CON setup in SAP S4/HANA
- Cross-references and validates Part Numbers between different companies (CAN, USA, IRL etc).
- Manages data exporting and importing across database systems.
- Set up system to define & ID the UNSPSC codes on items.
- Train other global team members on system information.
- Develop process improvements to achieve company goals.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- High school diploma. Post-secondary education is an asset.
- Attention to detail on item attributes and BOM information; and ability to problem solve when information is incomplete.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with other departments (engineering, purchasing, inventory, materials, operations, etc.); with ability to quickly resolve questions/issues effectively and completely.
- Strong organizational & follow-up activity on open items; and ability to track and complete multiple open tasks.
- Constant review /prioritization of workload based on most urgent needs (usually tied to agile mfg schedule).
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
