role accountabilities

- Execute defined solutions to meet Client expectations
- Establish and maintain relationships with a North American Network of preferred common carrier partners.
- Negotiate and coordinate scheduling of Carrier Partners in service of client orders
- Prepare daily manifest for dock operations
- Reconcile daily manifests and reports daily, investigating and escalate any issues to account managers for immediate resolution
- Confirm daily, all orders have been picked up off / delivered too the dock and resolve & communicate any issues using available resources
- Approve/dispute accessorial charges and invoices
- Crosstrain all responsibilities to assigned back up
- Keep current list of all common carrier websites, usernames, passwords and contacts
- Proactively communicate potential delays and service violations to the appropriate team member. Execute alternative recovery solution when required.
- Capture & communicate accessorial revenue in real time and update contracts with redirects, waiting time, driver-assists, lumpers, etc. where applicable
- Ensure the correct internal flow of client paperwork that crosses the ONE For Freight dock daily.
- Manage all invoices related to carrier partners
- Manage the ONE Board daily and facilitate how orders move through the ONE For Freight Transportation Solution Roundabout

education, skills & attributes required

Ontario Secondary School Diploma, or GED Equivalent

English Literacy; French Literacy an asset

4-6+ Years’ Experience – Brokerage & Carrier Relations

4-6+ Years’ Experience – Transportation & Logistics Industry: Domestic & Cross Border Trucking

Exceptional Oral & Written Communication Skills

Detail Oriented

Diploma in Supply Chain Management or related field or an industry-related professional designation an asset

Working Knowledge of North American Rail Systems & Scheduling; Container Types & Sizes; Freight Dimensions

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general knowledge of computer and internet-based applications

Strong understanding of the geography of Canada & USA required

Flexible Availability - Must be able to work in an ‘on-call’ environment for short periods (i.e. occasional ‘on-call’ status, late shifts, emergency response management, department coverage, as required by the Senior Leadership Team)

Strong time management skills required

Ability to work both independently and in a team setting

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $48,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
