Westside Recreation Centre is more than just a gym—we’re a vibrant, community-focused wellness destination where people come to move, connect, and feel their best. Since 2000, we’ve been proud to offer high-quality, accessible programs that inspire healthy, active lifestyles for all ages.

We’re currently looking for passionate, high-energy Group Exercise Instructors to bring the fun, motivation, and expertise to our studios! From Cycle and Strength to Cardio, Zumba, and older adult programming—our instructors create experiences that members look forward to every day.

What You’ll Bring to the Floor

You are:

- Energetic and engaging—you know how to light up a room and motivate a crowd

- Experienced and confident leading large groups with a variety of ages and fitness levels
- Prepared and skilled, with the ability to plan safe, effective, and inclusive classes
- Detail-oriented, ensuring equipment is set up and studios are clean and welcoming
- A team player, excited to contribute ideas, support programs, and help grow our fitness community

Availability for daytime, evenings, and weekends is required.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Leading fun, safe, and results-driven group fitness classes




- Creating inclusive environments where all participants feel welcome and successful
- Promoting health, wellness, and active living within our community
- Supporting the development and promotion of new classes and programs

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Minimum 5 years of fitness instruction experience
- Ability to teach a variety of formats (e.g., choreography, intervals, strength, cycle, etc.)
- Candidates must be 18 years of age or older
- Current Group Fitness Certification (e.g., AFLCA,Can Fit Pro, ACE)
- Current Intermediate First Aid (CSA Standard Z1210-17)
- Ability to provide copies of all certifications with your application

Training & Onboarding

Successful candidates will complete:

- A 6-hour online training, and

- A 3-hour in-person orientation to set you up for success
