Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport grain trailers efficiently and securely across designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo using heavy equipment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Assist with automotive repairs or basic maintenance to keep trucks in optimal condition.
- Verify freight documentation, ensuring accuracy in shipment details and delivery requirements.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, inspections, repairs, and operational logs for accountability.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL license.
- Proficiency in forklift operation and freight handling techniques.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshoot vehicle issues.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and compliance.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.
