We have been a family-run company since 1928 based in Whitby, Ontario, specializing in transportation and logistics services. We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled flatbed truck driver to join our team. Responsibilities:

- Safely transport heavy and over dimensional flatbed loads to assigned destinations across Ontario and occasionally neighboring provinces, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Secure cargo using straps, chains, and occasionally tarps, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer, reporting any defects or mechanical issues to the maintenance department.
- Adhere to all provincial and federal transportation regulations, including hours of service, weight restrictions, and traffic laws.
- Interact professionally with customers, dispatchers, and colleagues to ensure efficient communication and customer satisfaction.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and electronic logs accurately and in a timely manner.
- Load and unload cargo using equipment such as forklifts or cranes, while following proper loading and unloading procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck and trailer, ensuring a professional appearance at all times.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those relating to health and safety.
- Attend regular safety meetings and training sessions to remain up-to-date with industry best practices and relevant regulations.

Qualifications:

- Valid Class A commercial driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must possess a minimum of 3 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Flatbed experience is preferred,



but willingness to learn is mandatory.
- Solid knowledge of applicable transportation regulations and laws.
- Ability to operate flatbed trailers with various configurations and dimensions.
- Proficient in securing cargo using straps, chains, and tarps.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Attention to detail combined with the ability to work efficiently and independently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends and long hauls.

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50 pounds).
- Ability to climb ladders, bend, stoop, and reach in order to secure cargo and perform inspections.
- Strong visual acuity and depth perception for safe driving and maneuvering of vehicles.
- Ability to start early and work long hours within accordance of the HTA
