Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butcher/Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices, along with experience in meat cutting and preparation. As a Meat Cutter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and presentation of our meat products while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications and customer requests.
- Ensure all meat products are handled in compliance with food safety standards to maintain freshness and quality.
- Package meat products for display or sale, ensuring proper labeling and pricing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat preparation area, adhering to health regulations.
- Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and exceptional service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfill orders efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.




- Monitor inventory levels of meat products and report any shortages or discrepancies to management.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in meat cutting or butchery, is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations related to food handling.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cutting techniques for different types of meat.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
