Junior Accounting Assistant (AP/AR) – Cambridge, ON

Full-Time In-Office Manufacturing Environment Salary: $50,000–$55,000 CAD per year

About the Role

We’re looking for a detail‑driven Junior Accounting Assistant to support our AP/AR functions and daily accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who wants hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting.

What You’ll Do

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Enter financial data into QuickBooks and internal systems
- Prepare and maintain invoices, purchase orders, and payment records
- Assist with bank deposits, account reconciliations.
- Assist with expense reports
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Respond to vendor and customer inquiries
- Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting team

What You Bring

- Diploma/certificate in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a Canadian institution. Recent grads welcome.
- Experience with QuickBooks
- Basic understanding of AP/AR processes and accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy




- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook
- Clear communication skills and a positive, skilled attitude. Must be fluent in English.

Nice to Have

- Previous AP/AR or co‑op experience
- Interest in manufacturing or cost accounting
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills

Work Environment

- In-office, Monday to Friday
- Standard business hours
- Computer-based work with occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs)
