One of our client located in Surrey, BC looking for a Dispatcher in an LTL operation.

Shift Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm

Role Description

- Set-up driver runs for afternoon and evening deliveries.
- Review emails and respond to anything dispatch related.
- Enter Drivers runs into Truckmate.
- Arrive and depart city P&D;
- Print working copies if not already printed.
- Driver check-in.
- Make sure all pick ups are assigned and covered.
- Customer Service on phone for Freight Bill Inquiry.
- Handle any driver issues.
- Validate city Pickups and print dock stickers.
- Review drivers while doing pickups to ensure pickup pictures are taken and are in the FB so we are perfect on Vector.
- Control driver hours and Watch drivers on the road to ensure they are not stealing time.
- Answer phone calls from customers and customer service when calls are for dispatch.
- Handle any outside carriers who come to the window to drop off or pick up.
- Call in interline pickups (Argus, Comox,



Apps etc.)

Qualifications

At least two years of experience in LTL operations.

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Knowledge of transportation regulations and geographic regions

Proficiency in using dispatch software and GPS systems

Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies

High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
