Your contribution!

Reporting to the Manager - Performance Analysis, you will be responsible for monitoring the performance of several operational wind farm sites. The analyst documents and investigates the causes of underperformance and supports operations and engineering in developing solutions. The analyst also participates in the development of data acquisition and processing systems specific to the sites covered.

Your day-to-day!

- Analyze the overall performance of operational wind farms, monitor their operations and availability, investigate the causes of underperformance, and develop solutions;
- Help prepare monthly operational reports;
- Conduct ad hoc performance analyses as requested by Operations;
- Consult regularly with the operations teams to understand and identify downtime and underperformance;
- Implement, develop, and maintain solutions for acquiring and storing data from Data Historian or SCADA systems in order to visualize and analyze data relevant to understanding the mechanical issues identified by the operations team;




- Develop a thorough understanding of these issues by consulting with available technicians and specialists and visiting the site when necessary and possible;
- Document observations collected or made in office and illustrate the phenomena using the collected data, all of which is compiled into comprehensive technical reports and presentations for the operations and management teams;
- Develop the ability to detect underperformance and prevent breakdowns by leveraging the data collected and the machine learning algorithms already in use within the performance team;
- Help develop performance analysis and reporting tools;
- Support facility operations teams and develop tools to make their jobs easier;
- Participate in the due diligence process during asset acquisitions (analysis of production and availability data);
- Support project development teams (contract review, analysis);
- Manage consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers for operational projects;
Any other related tasks.

Your skills, our requirements!

- At least one year of experience in a similar position or a combination of education and relevant experience;
- Knowledge of programming languages for data analysis, such as MATLAB or Python;
- Familiarity with data visualization software such as Tableau is a plus;
- Knowledge of databases (SQL) is a plus;
- Knowledge of communication and SCADA systems is a plus;
- Strong ability to synthesize information and solid writing skills;




- Ability to understand, identify, and analyze the key issues of the projects under review in accordance with the scope of work and the allotted time;
- An organized, proactive, thorough, and logical person;
- Self-motivated, with a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration;
- Available for occasional travel, primarily in North America;

- Bilingualism (French and English, both spoken and written) is required to facilitate ongoing collaboration with various stakeholders outside Quebec.

- The position is based at the company's head office in Longueuil, steps away from the Longueuil-Université de Sherbrooke metro station;

- This position is a P1 level.
