Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineering Manager to lead our DevOps teams in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust cloud infrastructure and automation solutions. This pivotal role combines technical expertise with strategic leadership to streamline software development lifecycle processes, enhance system reliability, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will drive innovation across distributed systems, enterprise software, and cloud computing environments, ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient operations that support our dynamic business needs.

Duties

- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers to develop and execute automation strategies utilizing tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform, and Jenkins.
- Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of cloud infrastructure across platforms including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, and OpenStack.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to facilitate rapid software delivery while maintaining high standards for quality assurance and system testing.
- Manage system administration tasks across Linux (CentOS, UNIX), Windows Server environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate RESTful web services, microservices architectures, and enterprise applications such as WebSphere, Weblogic, JBoss, Tomcat, and WebSphere.
- Ensure disaster recovery plans are in place by implementing backup strategies using DynamoDB, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server databases, along with S3 storage solutions.
- Monitor system health using tools like New Relic, Splunk, Elasticsearch, and Nagios; respond swiftly to incidents involving network issues or security breaches.
- Manage IT projects related to system upgrades or migrations while adhering to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices.




- Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures for incident response, release management processes, and requirements gathering documentation.

Skills

- Extensive experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes for scalable application deployment.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure; proficient in cloud infrastructure automation with Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Deep understanding of system administration on Linux (CentOS), UNIX systems; familiarity with Windows Server environments is a plus.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell; experience with Groovy or Perl is advantageous.
- Hands-on expertise with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab repositories; version control using Git or SVN.
- Knowledge of enterprise middleware including WebSphere Application Server, Weblogic Server; experience with microservices architecture is preferred.
- Familiarity with database systems such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server; experience managing DynamoDB or Oracle databases is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of computer networking concepts including TCP/IP protocols; firewall management and DNS configuration skills are essential.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems issues efficiently; experience with software debugging and system testing methodologies.
- Excellent project management skills aligned with Agile methodologies; ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Pay: $85,836.91-$168,077.36 per year
