Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our team and ensure exceptional dining experiences for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food service knowledge, and a passion for hospitality. This role involves overseeing daily restaurant operations, managing staff, maintaining food safety standards, and delivering outstanding customer service. The Restaurant Manager will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming environment that promotes teamwork, efficiency, and high-quality service.

Responsibilities

- Supervise daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Lead and motivate staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating team members.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards.
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling procedures.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and coordinate with vendors as needed.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Oversee restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, and safety protocols.
- Assist in developing menus or specials in collaboration with culinary staff.
- Maintain a professional appearance of the restaurant environment to reflect brand standards.
- Manage scheduling to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours while controlling labor costs.

Qualifications





- Proven experience in food service or restaurant management; supervising experience is preferred.
- Solid knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling experience is essential.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Leadership skills with experience in team management, interviewing, and staff development.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Hospitality background or hotel experience is a plus; barista experience or restaurant experience is desirable.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanour, committed to guest satisfaction.

- Support for Veterans - Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Veterans - Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Veterans - Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans

-Support for Indigenous people - Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people - Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers - Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations - Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers

Pay: $37.50 per hour
