Hairdresser Opportunity – Long-Term Care Home

Valley Manor Long-Term Care Home is currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Hairdresser to provide services to our residents.

This is an independent contractor opportunity ideal for someone who enjoys working with seniors and creating a positive, welcoming experience. This role can be incredibly rewarding, as the simple act of a haircut or hairstyle often brings joy, confidence, comfort, and meaningful social interaction to residents. Building relationships with residents and becoming part of their routine can make a lasting impact on their quality of life.

Position Details:

- One day per week
- Flexible schedule preferred
- Services provided on-site at Valley Manor
- Hairdresser services are coordinated through Valley Manor; however, services are paid directly by residents/families
- Existing resident clientele available

Responsibilities:

- Provide haircuts, styling,



and basic salon services to residents
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff
- Adhere to infection prevention and control practices within the home

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Hairdressing certification/license preferred
- Experience working with seniors considered an asset
- Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor
- Vulnerable Sector Check required prior to start
- Negative 2-step TB test required prior to start
