Job Description:

- Maintain a fleet of Freightliner tractors and trailers by applying the individuals extensive knowledge and experience
- Perform scheduled fleet maintenance, preventative maintenance, monthly and annual inspections
- Inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and servicing fleet all year round
- Adjust, repair, and replace parts and components on fleet
- Maintain a clean and protected working environment in the workplace
- Keep maintenance records and record of fleet parts and supplies
- Schedule repair services with outside vendors when necessary

Requirements:

- Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic Red Seal Certificate
- Commercial Vehicle Inspection Certification
- Air Brake Endorsement
- Class 5 License (Class 1 preferred)
- Able to work with little to no supervision
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with team members

Qualifications:

- Certifications that indicate expertise in heavy equipment maintenance
- Experience with diesel tractors
- Preferred to have CVIP ticket or is eligible to obtain a CVIP ticket




- Extensive knowledge and experience with diagnostics of engine, hydraulics, electrical, transmission, differential, clutch, and powertrain repair
- Understanding of Freightliner/Detroit Diesel engines
- Some experience with reconditioning and engine overhauls preferred
