C.P. Systems is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Hydrovac Operator to join our growing team. This is a full-time position with competitive wages, steady work, and opportunities for advancement. The successful candidate will safely operate a hydrovac truck while working on underground utility and construction projects throughout Ontario.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain a hydrovac truck on construction sites.
- Perform hydro excavation around underground utilities and infrastructure.
- Complete daily pre-trip inspections, circle checks, and routine equipment maintenance.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to client specifications.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and clients.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and inspection reports.
- Keep equipment clean and in good working condition.
- Assist with general labour duties when required.
Qualifications
- Experience operating a hydrovac truck is preferred.
- Valid DZ driver's licence required (AZ considered an asset).
- Experience driving a manual (standard transmission) truck is preferred.
- Clean driver's abstract.
- Strong understanding of excavation and utility safety practices.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Physically capable of performing demanding work, including lifting, bending, and handling vacuum hoses.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to safe work practices.
