Location: Milford Haven - Home for Special Care

Title: Continuing Care Assistant (CCA)

Salary: $18-$22 per hour

Wages based on the CUPE contract

Schedule: FT and PT available

Responsibilities:

- Provide personal hygiene, oral care, skin care, toileting, bathing, feeding, dressing and grooming to residents
- Encourage and assist in maintaining the autonomy of residents whenever possible
- Maintain confidentiality concerning residents, staff and organizational information
- Work within the NSAHO Scope of Practice
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
- Maintain a safe and clean workplace, adhering to facility infection control policies
- Record keeping,



updating and maintaining resident charts and reporting any changes in a resident’s condition

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Standard First-Aid and CPR certification
- Successful completion or enrollment in a CCA/PSW program
- Effective communication, both written and verbal in English
- Physically fit/able to perform physically demanding job duties
- Reliable and punctual with a good attendance record
- Registered with the CCA Registry
- Previous experience working in geriatrics is an asset
