We are looking for an experience Class 1 or Class 3 driver for an opportunity with our client in Prince George, BC.

Ideally someone with skills driving Super B's, Flat Decks, Rolls offs, etc. Also a candidate with loading/offloading experience, basic mechanical knowledge, and experience with electronic logging of hours/km driven is an asset.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Performs pre/post-trip inspections on the vehicle assigned to drive.
- Carries out general safety practices of a commercial driver.
- Follows guidelines for safe load securement.
- Communicates with customers in a professional manner.
- Carries out instructions from Dispatch in a timely manner.
- Immediately reports any unsafe situations or service-related issues to Manager or Dispatch.
- Positions and/or returns container on the customer’s property in a manner that ensures lids and doors are properly replaced, and do not block driveway entrances or traffic.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

- Must have a valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license.
- Clean drivers abstract.
- Preferably 3-4 years’ experience operating a heavy commercial truck.
- Experience with roll-offs,



body jobs and dump trucks preferred.
- Experience hauling B-trains, but not a requirement.
- Experience with self-loading material handles or Hiab is a definite asset.
- Flexibility with work shifts and ability to travel occasionally.
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills.

Work Workplace

- Drive an enclosed truck on a daily basis.
- Work outdoors while loading and unloading goods. Work indoors while driving or filling out paperwork. Indoor temperatures may not be controlled.
- Are often exposed to contaminants, such as diesel fuel or exhaust.
- Wear protective or safety attire on a weekly basis.
- Sometimes are exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures while working outside.
- May have to get into cramped positions to reach workspaces, such as the back of a truck.

- $33-35/hr pay range
- Monday to Friday from 8am to 4:30pm
