Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Specialist, Software Support to join our Information Technology team. In this Onsite/Hybrid role in Calgary, AB you will support, optimize, and deliver business-critical software solutions while managing the application lifecycle across the organization. You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure software solutions are reliable, secure, scalable,



and aligned with business needs.

This is an excellent prospect for a technology professional with strong application support, software deployment, and troubleshooting experience who enjoys solving complex technical challenges in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Takes ownership of technical issues from investigation through resolution. Adapts quickly to changing priorities.

- Package, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise software applications.
- Develop, maintain, and document application deployment frameworks and automation processes.
- Coordinate software deployments and releases with infrastructure, security, and business teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software-related incidents and production issues while providing timely updates to stakeholders.
- Analyze software changes and upgrades to identify impacts on applications, interfaces, and business processes.
- Plan and execute annual software upgrades to maintain a secure and current application portfolio.
- Collaborate with internal teams to define product roadmaps and identify opportunities to optimize software licensing, renewals, and costs.
- Maintain software asset inventory, licensing records, compliance, and budgeting information.
- Monitor application performance, perform system administration activities,



and implement solutions to improve reliability.
- Provide technical guidance, documentation, and knowledge transfer to Service Desk and junior team members.

Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.
- 5–7 years of experience in software support, application lifecycle management, or enterprise application administration.
- Experience packaging, deploying, and supporting enterprise software applications.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting Windows-based enterprise environment

Experience with one or more of the following:

- Flexera or other application packaging tools
- Microsoft Intune
- Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM)
- PowerShell scripting
- Software asset management
- Software licensing and compliance
- Application deployment automation
- ITIL practices

Certifications (Preferred)

- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Microsoft Certifications
