Services Mécaniques Aubin, part of Groupe SMA, is looking for a heavy equipment mechanic based out of our Mississauga shop.

Groupe SMA runs two connected businesses: SMA Équipements, which sells, rents and services drilling and foundation equipment, and Services Mécaniques Aubin, which handles maintenance and repair on heavy mechanical equipment. Together they serve three growing sectors: geothermal, construction/foundation, and mining.

At Services Mécaniques Aubin, you'll work on a mixed fleet of heavy equipment (drill rigs, compressors, pile-drivers and other jobsite machinery). The work is split between the shop and the road: service calls at client sites and jobsites, with a company service vehicle provided. It's hands-on, varied work alongside a crew that knows its stuff and actually invests in training.

Your main responsibilities:

- Diagnose faults and malfunctions to determine the extent of required repairs
- Make recommendations based on your expertise
- Perform preventive maintenance on drilling hammers
- Perform and test repairs
- Other related duties as needed

What we're looking for:

- 2+ years of experience in general mechanics, physically fit
- Valid driver's license
- Able to communicate in English
- Able to work 12-hour days, on a 14-days-on rotation
- Authorized to work in Canada immediately
