BGC Preston is looking for an organized, motivated, and dependable individual to join our team as our next Club Manager. This is a year-round leadership position for someone who is passionate about working with children, supporting staff, and helping oversee the daily operations of our After School Program.

Location: Bell Park Academic Centre, 4 Thomas Street, Preston, NS
Start Date: September 2026

Position Details

- 30 - 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

- Oversee the daily operations of the After School Program
- Supervise, mentor, and support program staff
- Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all children
- Communicate with parents, guardians, school staff, and community partners
- Assist with staff scheduling, program planning, and daily logistics
- Maintain attendance records, child files, incident reports, and other administrative documentation
- Support the Executive Director with licensing requirements, program quality, and day-to-day administration




- Help plan special events, PD Days, school breaks, and summer programming
- Ensure all BGC Preston policies and procedures are followed

Qualifications

- Previous supervisory or leadership experience (minimum one year)
- Strong computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office, email, and online systems
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while leading a team
- Experience working with children or youth is considered an asset
- Valid First Aid & CPR certification is required before employment
- A Child Abuse Registry Check and Vulnerable Sector Check are required prior to employment
