Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled, dedicated, and detail-oriented Batch Mixer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing product batches such as lotions, creams, cleansers, and other Health & Beauty products according to formulas and production schedules. This role is essential to ensuring product consistency, safety, and quality in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. The ideal candidate will focus on efficiency and precision in a fast-paced environment, and should possess mechanical knowledge and basic math skills to support accurate measurements and mixing processes. This role requires adherence to strict Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and sanitation standards to ensure high-quality finished products.
Responsibilities
- Accurately weigh, measure, and mix raw materials following master formulas (recipes), production guidelines, and other batch records
- Operate mixers, heating tanks, homogenizers, and other manufacturing equipment
- Monitor mixing parameters (speed, temperature, viscosity, etc.)
- Record batch information accurately and maintain proper documentation
- Perform equipment cleaning and sanitation to prepare for manufacturing
- Maintain cleaning logs
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance for batch approvals
- Handle raw materials safely and maintain an organized batching area
- Identify and report deviations, abnormalities, or raw material issues
- Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues promptly
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks when necessary
- Support the overall manufacturing process by adhering to production schedules and quality standards
- Assist with other tasks as required to support manufacturing and production activities
Requirements
- Experience as a batch mixer in cosmetics, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred
- Ability to read and follow formulas, instructions, and batch documents
- Strong math and measurement skills
- Understanding of manufacturing workflows and quality control procedures
- Familiarity with GMP, health & safety, and hygiene standards
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment maintenance is a plus
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and work with large equipment
- Strong attention to detail, high focus on quality, and high level of cleanliness
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently within a team environment
- Free from allergies and sensitivities to fragrances and other chemicals used in Health & Beauty manufacturing
- Flexiblity to work extra hours (evenings / weekends) on occasion to meet productivity requirements and during peak business periods
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
