Cook Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team. The Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a quick-paced restaurant environment while following food safety, cleanliness, and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards
- Set up and maintain assigned kitchen stations
- Ensure food is cooked properly and presented consistently
- Follow proper food handling, storage, labeling, and rotation procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work area
- Complete food preparation tasks, including chopping, portioning, and stocking ingredients
- Monitor food quality and report any concerns to the Kitchen Manager or Supervisor
- Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation requirements
- Communicate effectively with servers, managers, and other kitchen team members
- Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining quality and accuracy
- Assist with dishwashing, cleaning, and closing duties when required




- Minimize food waste and use ingredients responsibly

Qualifications

- Previous cooking or restaurant kitchen experience is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and food safety practices
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Food safety certification is an asset

Pay: $16.50-$18.50 per hour
