Wisdominds Barber & Braiders Inc. is a growing multicultural salon in North York, Ontario, specializing in professional barbering, African hair braiding, natural hair care, and beauty services. We are looking for a talented, creative, and customer-focused Professional Hair Braider to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide professional African hair braiding services, including Box Braids, Knotless Braids, Cornrows, Stitch Braids, Senegalese Twists, Passion Twists, Faux Locs, Crochet Braids, and other protective styles.
- Install hair extensions and create customized hairstyles based on each client's preferences.
- Consult with clients on hairstyle options, hair care, and maintenance.
- Wash, condition, and prepare hair for braiding services when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Schedule appointments and maintain accurate client records.
- Recommend professional hair care products and services.
- Work collaboratively with barbers, stylists, and other team members.
- Stay up to date with current braiding techniques, trends, and industry best practices.
- Perform children's braiding and men's braiding services when requested.

Qualifications

- Minimum 1 year of professional hair braiding experience.
- Strong skills in African hair braiding and protective hairstyles.




- Experience with hair extensions and natural hair care.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, professional, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Hairstyling certification or equivalent professional experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to braid different hair textures and provide recommendations for protective hair care.
