Carry Steel has been established for over 60 years specializing in the supply and fabrication of structural and miscellaneous steel for oil and gas refineries, heavy oil extraction plants, chemical plants, pulp and paper mills and commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings.

Carry Steel is currently seeking full-time Day Shift Welders to join their team:

Specific Duties:

- Weld metal components using the MCAW and FCAW processes
- Read blueprints, CWB welding procedures, and customer specifications
- Ability to complete visual QC self-inspection of work (flashlight, fillet gauge, undercut gauge) according to required quality standard (W59)
- Grind, stamp, cut, and drill metal
- Operate various required equipment,



including overhead cranes, grinders, welding machines, gouging equipment, testing equipment
- Perform other related duties, when required

Qualifications:

- Applicants must have MCAW and/or FCAW experience
- ·At minimum, registered as an Apprentice Welder
- A valid Driver’s License
- Basic rigging course, and/or certified overhead crane operator an asset
- WHMIS
- Fit for duty, and able to lift to 30 lbs.
- Competence in structural steel and plate fitting would be helpful

Pay Rate: $37.25/hour for Journeyperson

Includes company-paid benefits and pension plan

Dayshift (4 – 10’s/week)
