ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain facility security and coordinate all building production maintenance activities

Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program for all facility, distribution and production equipment

Establish and maintain equipment spare parts

Perform diagnostic evaluations and repairs as needed

Coordinate outside contractor service and support

Identify, develop and submit Capital Appropriations Request (C.A.R.) with project justification and appropriate documentation

Manage capital projects from development and approval to implementation

Facilitate equipment selection, installation, relocation, start up and operator training

Maintain capital asset identification and control per KNA guidelines

Manage and control purchasing activities related to facility maintenance and cost center spending in accordance with corporate policy and AOP budgets

Maintain Safety and regulatory compliance with all company, OSH, EPA, DOT, local and state requirements for the storage, manufacturing and distribution of chemicals including Hazardous materials.

Monitor equipment and infrastructure form compliance and implement corrective action as required

Verify that all required equipment safety checks and regulatory records are completed

Facilitate operator training on all existing equipment

Train and certify forklift operators per OSHA regulations

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

GENERAL SUPERVISION: Employee plans work and manner of performance to meet defined work plans or objectives. Routine tasks are performed independently,



but unusual or critical circumstances are subject to consultation with supervisor.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED

Directly supervises 2-4 employees in the facilities/maintenance dept. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience

HVAC Certified

Certified Electrician

Experience

Four to ten years of related experience is required

Experience with facility operations, capital projects, process control and maintenance management

Budget planning and cost control experience

Must complete course requirements as an OSHA Certified Forklift trainer

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Robust leadership and organizational skills

Ability to perform diagnostic evaluation and repairs on all facility and manufacturing equipment, including plumbing, mechanical and electrical repairs





Proficient in MS office products: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook

Forklift repair

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus.While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and taste or smell.
