Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Team Member to join our team at our mall location. This role is vital in providing excellent customer service, ensuring food safety, and maintaining a clean and organized food service area. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cashiering, and food handling within a rapid-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in the food industry while delivering a positive dining experience for our customers.

Duties

- Greet customers, explain menu items, take orders, and accurately process payments using cash registers
- Clean, slice, and prepare ingredients.
- Use appliances like deep fryers, grills and toasters to heat or prepare fast food items.
- Assemble, wrap, and package food for take-out or plate is customers at the counter
- Prepare hot and cold beverages such as tea, coffee and fountain drinks
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the utensils, and equipment in the front counter and kitchen staying in compliant all food safety standards
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with inventory management




- Ensure all food is stored properly and handled according to sanitation guidelines
- Provide friendly customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly

Requirements

- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, serving, and safety standards
- Experience with POS systems is an asset
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and communication
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Food handling certification or willingness to obtain one is preferred
- Kitchen or sanitation experience an asset
- Ability to work efficiently during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work varied shifts within mall hours; weekends may be required

Pay: From $16.75 per hour
