Job Overview
We are seeking a Plant Manager or Supervisor with experience in manufacturing, that is hands on and will oversee capacity planning, production scheduling, equipment maintenance and facility management.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and leading a team of employees to achieve operational excellence. This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives within the plant.

Duties

- Oversee daily operations of the plant, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining quality standards.
- Develop and implement production schedules and workflows to optimize efficiency.
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
- Lead, mentor, and develop plant staff. Listen and consider feedback fostering a synergistic workforce.
- Exercise sound and timely decision making considering alternative perspectives.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all employees.
- Track and analyze Key Performance Indicators to identify areas for improvement and production bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.
- Lead physical inventory process and coordinate with procurement for necessary materials.
- Monitor production capacity daily through the Click-up schedule.

Skills

- Experience in manufacturing in a production Manager/Supervisor capacity.
- Robust leadership abilities with excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in production planning and scheduling techniques.




- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to analyze data effectively and make informed decisions based on findings.
- Experience using CNC machines or other manufacturing equipment.
- Familiarity with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
- Robust problem-solving skills with an action orientated approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.

Requirements

- Ability to read and interpret engineer drawings.
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Manager or Supervisor.
- 3-5 years of hands on experience in manufacturing or production environments using wood, plastic or aluminum.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
