Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a long-term care setting in British Columbia. In this role, you will provide compassionate, resident-centred nursing care while supporting the health, safety, comfort, and dignity of seniors with diverse and complex care needs.

You will work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, physicians, care aides, allied health professionals, residents, and families to implement individualized care plans and promote the highest possible quality of life for each resident. Key Responsibilities

- Perform nursing assessments within the LPN scope of practice and report changes in residents’ health status to the appropriate care team members.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and BCCNM standards.
- Monitor residents’ vital signs, symptoms, behaviours, and responses to medications and treatments.
- Provide wound care, pain management, chronic disease support, and other nursing interventions within the LPN scope of practice.
- Develop, implement, evaluate, and update individualized resident care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Provide compassionate care to residents living with dementia, cognitive impairment, physical disabilities, and complex medical conditions.
- Respond appropriately to changes in condition, falls, injuries, medical emergencies, and other clinical concerns.
- Document assessments, medication administration, progress notes, incidents, and care-plan updates accurately using PointClickCare.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, pharmacies, and members of the interdisciplinary care team.
- Delegate and provide direction to Health Care Assistants or Care Aides,



where appropriate and within the LPN scope of practice.
- Participate in shift reports, care conferences, medication reviews, quality-improvement initiatives, and infection-prevention practices.
- Support residents with dignity, privacy, independence, and culturally respectful care.
- Follow all applicable facility policies, occupational health and safety requirements, and provincial healthcare regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

- Current practising registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Graduation from a recognized Practical Nursing program.
- At least one year of long-term care experience is preferred.
- Previous experience supporting seniors, residents with dementia, or individuals with complex care needs is considered an asset.
- Experience using PointClickCare or a similar electronic health record system is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medication administration, nursing documentation, infection prevention, and resident-centred care.
- Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to changes in a resident’s condition.
- Strong communication, organization, critical-thinking, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Compassionate, reliable, qualified, and respectful approach to resident care.
- Current CPR certification and any additional documentation required by the facility or employer.

Pay: $51.00-$56.00 per hour
