Guest Services Team Member Part-time position available

The South Fish Creek Recreation Association (SFCRA) - Cardel Rec South, is a not-for-profit organization that operates Cardel Recreation South; a very busy community recreation facility. We are proud to offer our community four ice arenas, gymnasiums, eight multi-purpose rental/program rooms, and a variety of recreation programs. In addition, we have numerous tenants whose services complement our mandate.

Cardel Rec South is seeking dynamic team player to fulfill the roll of part time Guest Services Attendant to provide outstanding customer service to valued patrons, community and alliance partners. The successful candidate must have availability and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of the facility and may be required to stand for extended periods of time. The core hours for Guest Services are 7am to 10pm. This is a part-time position, offering 5-10 hours per week to start.

Specific Accountabilities:

- Guest Interaction: Build and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff through friendly and courteous interactions. Provide options and solutions for guest requests.
- Inquiry Management: Handle all incoming inquiries via telephone, email, or in person. Answer questions directly or forward to the appropriate staff to ensure prompt responses and maintain a high level of customer service.
- Processing Tasks: Accurately process program registrations, waivers, rental paperwork, and daily cash out.
- Operational Support: Assist other team members with various operational requirements.
- Administrative Duties: Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and other duties as needed.

Qualifications Required:

- Customer Service: Ability to provide a high level of guest service, including answering questions about programs, directions, and FAQs.
- Education: High school student or holder of a high school diploma (or equivalent).
- Independence and Collaboration: Able to work independently as well as within a team environment.
- Flexibility: Ability to work in a flexible environment to meet deadlines.
- Background Check: Clean criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening.
- Conflict Resolution: Capable of handling conflict and making independent, time-sensitive decisions.
- Proactive and Energetic: Proactive, energetic, and capable of multitasking.
- Adaptability: Able to take initiative and adapt to frequently changing environments.
- Communication Skills: Proficient in reading, writing, and qualified communication with the public and co-workers.
- Cash Handling Experience: Prior experience in cash handling and using point-of-sale systems is an asset.
- First Aid Certification: Standard First Aid certification is an asset.
- Microsoft Office Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office is an asset.

START DATE: ASAP

Job Type: Part-time 5-10 hours per week

Potential Shifts: Weekdays 4:00pm - 9:30pm, Weekends 8am - 2pm, 2pm - 9pm

Pay: Depending on experience
