The Foothills Advocacy in Motion (FAIM) Society is seeking compassionate individuals or couples to become Residential Care Providers for adults with developmental disabilities in the Okotoks area.

As an independent Residential Care Provider, you will open your home to an individual receiving support and provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where they can develop independence, build meaningful relationships, and enjoy an enhanced quality of life.

Through our Home Living Program, we partner with caring individuals and families who are committed to making a positive difference every day.

About the Opportunity

As a Residential Care Provider, you will:

- Provide a safe, supportive, and stable home environment.
- Assist with daily living skills, personal growth, and community participation.
- Encourage independence while providing support tailored to the individual's unique needs.
- Work collaboratively with FAIM staff and the individual's support network.
- Promote dignity, choice, inclusion, and respect in all aspects of daily life.

In most situations, the individual attends a day program four to five days per week and respite services approximately two weekends per month.

Qualifications

Successful Residential Care Providers will have:

- A caring, patient,



and compassionate nature.
- Solid communication and problem-solving skills.
- A valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
- The ability to obtain a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
- A safe and welcoming home environment.
- A willingness to complete all mandatory training provided by FAIM.

Previous experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is considered an asset but is not required. We welcome individuals who are committed to learning and providing quality supports.

Compensation

Residential Care Providers are engaged as independent contractors.

Compensation varies based on the support needs of the individual and typically ranges from $2,200 to $2,700 per month. In addition, the individual contributes approximately $800 per month toward room and board.
