Position Overview

Preference will be given to a Journeyman Parts Technician, Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician, Truck and Transport Technician, or someone with strong truck, trailer, equipment, agriculture, hydraulic, or industrial parts experience.

We are also willing to train the right person if they have strong mechanical knowledge, a good work ethic, and the ability to learn quickly.

The ideal candidate will be organized, mechanically minded, comfortable in a fast-paced shop environment, and able to support technicians by making sure the right parts are ordered, received, staged, and ready when needed.

This role requires excellent spoken and written English. The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with technicians, customers, suppliers, drivers, and service advisors in a busy shop environment.

Responsibilities

Source and order parts for heavy trucks, trailers, and equipment
Assist technicians with identifying parts accurately
Receive, organize, and stage parts for jobs
Track ordered parts and update the service team on delays
Maintain inventory and help improve stock levels
Build hydraulic hoses and assist with hydraulic fittings and hose inventory
Run for parts and pick up supplies as required
Handle returns, cores, warranty parts, and supplier follow-up
Keep the parts area clean, organized, and efficient
Build strong relationships with suppliers
Help reduce technician downtime by making sure parts are correct and ready when needed
Communicate clearly with technicians, suppliers, customers, and service advisors
Assist with filters, fluids, fittings, hardware, shop stock, and other common parts inventory

Requirements

Truck, trailer, equipment,



agricultural, or industrial parts experience preferred
Journeyman Parts Technician, Heavy Equipment Technician, or Truck and Transport background is an asset
Strong mechanical understanding
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence required
Clean driver’s abstract required
Excellent spoken and written English required
Good computer skills
Solid organization and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple jobs and parts orders at once
Able to work in a fast-paced repair shop environment
Strong communication skills
Willingness to learn both truck and equipment parts
Ability to build hydraulic hoses or willingness to learn

About Antler Point Heavy Duty

Antler Point Heavy Duty is a heavy truck and equipment repair facility located in Balzac, Alberta, just north of Calgary. We service trucks, trailers, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, engines, emissions systems, CVIP inspections, and fleet maintenance customers.

We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a growing company and take ownership of an important role within the shop.

Pay: $52,000.00-$84,000.00 per year
