The Muslim Advisory Council of Canada (MACC) is an award-winning not-for-profit organization
dedicated to promoting understanding, combating Islamophobia, and advancing equality through
evidence-based research, education, and community engagement. Founded in 2020, MACC is
committed to equipping decision-makers, service providers, and community leaders with accurate,
research-informed knowledge to address Islamophobia, eliminate stereotypes, and advance equity
across Canadian institutions.

About the Project

Building on MACC's research on gender-based violence (GBV) and the experiences of Muslim
women in Canada, this project focuses on translating research findings into practical tools, resources,
and cooperative initiatives that support systemic change and improve access to services.

Over the course of the project, MACC will:

- Develop sector-specific cultural safety toolkits, law enforcement crisis-response resources,

and legal navigation guides.
- Produce a 10-episode podcast series and sector-specific webinars.
- Convene cross-sector implementation roundtables.
- Expand its digital knowledge hub to support institutional adoption of research findings.

This work aims to strengthen gender equality by improving equitable access to gender-based violence
services for Muslim women, enhancing coordination between Muslim-serving and mainstream
institutions, and creating sustainable, publicly accessible resources that bridge research with lived
community experience.

Position Summary




MACC is seeking a highly organized and collaborative Project Manager to lead the knowledge
mobilization and implementation phase of its gender-based violence research initiative. The
successful candidate will oversee project implementation, monitor timelines and deliverables,
support evaluation activities, and ensure the quality and effectiveness of all project resources
and outputs.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Coordination (Approximately 50% of Role)

- Provide overall project oversight and implementation support.
- Develop and monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Identify and manage project risks and mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate project activities across multiple stakeholders and sectors.
- Supervise and support project team members, including direct oversight of the Knowledge

Mobilization & Resource Development Specialist.

- Ensure project objectives are achieved on time, within scope, and in alignment with funding

requirements.

Evaluation & Reporting (Approximately 25% of Role)

- Design and implement the project evaluation framework.
- Review pilot implementation results and stakeholder feedback.
- Monitor project outcomes and performance indicators.
- Prepare progress reports, evaluation summaries, and funder reports.
- Support knowledge translation and dissemination of project findings.

Toolkit, Resource Design & Quality Assurance (Approximately 25% of
Role)

- Review and provide feedback on toolkit,



guide, webinar, and podcast content.
- Oversee final resource development and design processes.
- Ensure materials align with project objectives, cultural safety principles, and community

needs.

- Approve final versions of project resources prior to publication and dissemination.

Qualifications Demonstrated experience managing multi-stakeholder projects, preferably within the

nonprofit, community, research, public policy, or social services sectors.

- Strong organizational, project planning, and coordination skills.
- Experience with evaluation, reporting, and performance measurement frameworks.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with diverse communities and community-engaged research is

considered an asset.

- Familiarity with gender-based violence prevention, equity initiatives, community engagement,

or Muslim-serving organizations is considered an asset.

Compensation Contract value: $30,000 Flexible scheduling and hybrid work arrangement.

- Contract period: July 6, 2026 – July 2, 2027
